How can we help?

Running your company on Dumpster Vibes, or renting from one โ€” it's all here.

How do I book a dumpster?Booking

Open your local company's booking page, enter your address, pick a size and delivery day, and pay online. It takes under 3 minutes and you'll get a text and email confirmation with a link to track everything.

How do I know what size dumpster I need?Booking

Each size card shows dimensions and a description of what it fits. Rule of thumb: a garage cleanout fits a 12-yard, a full-house cleanout or roofing job usually wants a 15โ€“20 yard. When in doubt, size up โ€” a second haul costs more than a bigger can.

Can I pick my delivery date and how long I keep it?Booking

Yes. The calendar shows the company's available days, and the pickup-date stepper lets you keep the dumpster longer โ€” extra days beyond the included rental are priced per day and shown before you pay.

What can't go in the dumpster?Booking

No paint, tires, batteries, or hazardous waste. Special items like mattresses, appliances with freon, or electronics may carry a small fee or need arranging with the company first.

Do I need an account or password?Booking

Never. Your booking confirmation includes a private tracking link โ€” that link is your key to everything: status, receipts, adding days, requesting pickup.

How do payments work?Payments

You pay online when you book โ€” card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or bank transfer (ACH). The card you use is kept securely on file by Stripe for rental charges you approve, like extra days or tonnage overage. The company never sees your card number.

Why is there a card processing fee sometimes?Payments

Some companies pass the card fee through instead of baking it into prices; it's always shown as its own line before you pay, and paying by bank transfer avoids it entirely. Other companies absorb it โ€” it varies by company.

What is a tonnage overage?Payments

Your rental includes a weight allowance (shown on the size card). If the load weighs more at the landfill scale, the difference is billed per ton to your card on file, and your receipt itemizes exactly what the scale said.

How do refunds work if I cancel?Payments

If the company allows online cancellation and you cancel more than 48 hours before delivery, you're refunded in full automatically. Inside 48 hours, call the company โ€” they can still help.

Is my payment information safe?Payments

Yes. All payments run through Stripe, the same processor used by Amazon and Shopify. Card numbers never touch this platform's servers.

How do I track my delivery?Your rental

Your tracking link shows live status, and when the driver heads your way you can watch the truck on a map with an arrival estimate โ€” like a rideshare app, but with a dumpster.

How do I keep the dumpster longer?Your rental

Open your tracking link and tap 'Add days.' The per-day price is shown, it charges the card on file, and your pickup date moves โ€” no phone call needed.

I'm done early โ€” how do I get it picked up?Your rental

Tap 'Pick it up early' on your tracking link and pickup is scheduled for the next day the company can run (some days the disposal facility is closed โ€” the system knows).

What if I need the dumpster emptied and brought back?Your rental

That's a swap. Call or text the company โ€” they'll schedule it and any haul fee is confirmed with you first.

How does junk removal pricing work?Junk removal

You pick an estimated load size (fraction of a truck) plus any special items, and get an instant estimate. The crew confirms the real price with you in person โ€” you sign it before any work starts, and that signed number is exactly what your card is charged when the job's done.

Do I pay anything when I book junk removal?Junk removal

Depends on the company: either nothing today (your card is saved securely for after the job) or a small deposit that counts toward the final price. Either way, the final price is approved by you in person first.

What if I have more junk than I estimated?Junk removal

No problem โ€” the crew re-quotes on the spot with the same price table you saw online, you approve it, and the job proceeds. No surprises: nothing is hauled until you've signed the number.

How do I get set up?For companies

Sign up, connect Stripe (that's where your money lands), add your dumpster sizes and prices (or load the starter template), list the zips you serve, and set your schedule. Twenty minutes and your booking page is live at your own link โ€” plus a Book Now button you can paste on any website.

How does the booking system work end to end?For companies

A customer books online and pays; the booking confirms itself, the delivery job appears on your driver's Today list, texts go out automatically at every step, weight tickets settle overage billing, and money lands in your Stripe account. Your dashboard is five tabs: Today, Map, Bookings, Inventory, Reports โ€” plus Dispatch for routing.

How do I build my daily route? For companies

Dispatch (from your Today page) shows the day as color-coded tiles โ€” deliveries green, pickups amber, junk orange. Move them up and down, insert landfill runs and yard returns, hit Save. Your driver's phone runs the day in exactly that order.

How does junk removal mode work? For companies

Turn it on in Settings and load the price table. Customers book with an estimate; your crew builds the real price at the curb, the customer signs it on the driver's phone, and the card on file is charged โ€” never more than what they approved. You can require a deposit, or place a hold for the full estimate.

What's a payment hold and when should I use it?For companies

Hold mode reserves the full estimate on the customer's card at booking without charging it. At the job, you capture exactly the signed final โ€” never more than the hold. Great protection on bigger junk jobs; card holds last about 7 days, so it fits jobs booked within a week.

How do I block a problem customer? For companies

Settings โ†’ Blocked from online booking. Add their phone, email, name, or address โ€” they'll see 'please call us' instead of a checkout. You can still book them manually from the office if they make things right.

How does invoicing work for contractors? For companies

Flag the customer as 'invoice' terms on any of their bookings. Their jobs then skip card-at-booking; at month end (or anytime) merge their bookings onto one invoice โ€” or hit Batch-invoice to do every contractor at once. They pay the invoice link by card or bank, or you record their check.

What reports do I get for taxes? For companies

Reports โ†’ Company snapshot: pick any date range and download everything โ€” bookings, charges, expenses, weight tickets, mileage, platform fees โ€” plus a QuickBooks-ready journal with income positive and dump costs negative. Your accountant gets one folder, not a shoebox.

How do I see profit on a job?For companies

Every booking shows Job economics: what you collected, minus dump costs (weight-ticket disposal deducts automatically), minus any expenses you or your driver logged โ€” fuel, labor, landfill fees on junk jobs. Net after dump, in green or red.

What's the text inbox?For companies

When customers text your number back, the conversation appears in Dashboard โ†’ Inbox as a thread. Reply right there โ€” it sends from your business number. STOP/START compliance is handled automatically underneath.

How do I log into Stripe? For companies

Settings โ†’ 'Open my Stripe dashboard' takes you straight in โ€” payouts, disputes, bank details, tax forms, all of it. Your Stripe account is yours; Dumpster Vibes just connects to it.

What does the platform cost? For companies

3% of each transaction until your month's fees reach $250 (drops to $200 after your first year), then just 1% on everything after. No monthly fee, no per-user fee, no contract, unlimited trucks, cans, and staff. You only pay when you get paid.

How do I get paid? For companies

Money goes straight to your own Stripe account and pays out to your bank on Stripe's standard schedule (typically 2 business days). The platform's percentage is split off automatically per transaction โ€” no invoices to track.

What about cash or check jobs? For companies

Mark them paid cash/check in the office and everything stays on the books. The platform percentage on off-Stripe payments accrues on your dashboard and settles from your Stripe balance with one click โ€” no card on file needed.

Can I pass card fees to customers? For companies

Yes โ€” an optional setting adds a disclosed card fee at checkout (bank-transfer payers skip it). Check your state's surcharge rules before enabling; a few states restrict it.

Can I set different prices for certain customers? For companies

Yes โ€” the special pricing matrix lets you set per-size prices for any customer (contractors, municipalities). Their pricing applies automatically whenever they book, on any channel.

The dump is closed Saturdays โ€” can I still deliver? For companies

Yes. Mark Saturday as a no-pickup day: deliveries keep running, but pickup scheduling automatically avoids it. That's a setting most software doesn't have.

How do taxes work?For companies

Set your default rate, and override per zip for city/county differences. Tax-exempt customers (municipal, nonprofit) can be flagged and are never charged tax. Every booking snapshots its rate for clean records.

How do I cancel my account? For companies

From Support โ†’ Cancel account. There's no contract; we confirm with you personally, and your booking and money records remain exportable. We'd love to hear why in the suggestion box first.

What does the driver see?Drivers

A Today list in the exact order the office set โ€” deliveries, pickups, junk jobs, dump runs, and yard returns, each one tap from navigation. Complete a stop with a can PIN and photo; junk jobs collect a signature on the final price before charging.

How does the mileage log work?Drivers

Pick your truck and punch the odometer at rollout and day's end. It feeds a per-truck mileage report and a year-end CSV your accountant will actually like.

What texts will I get?Texts & privacy

Booking confirmation, day-before reminders, driver-on-the-way with live tracking, receipts, and rental-end reminders โ€” all from your local company's number.

How do I stop the texts?Texts & privacy

Reply STOP to any message and texting shuts off immediately โ€” by law, no one can turn it back on except you, by replying START. Email receipts still arrive.
